The Past President’s Award is given to an outstanding beginning professional librarian who is an active MLA member. Candidates must hold an MLS degree, be employed in Mississippi, and have between two and six years professional experience, two of which must be in Mississippi. Nominations may only be submitted by MLA members and should be sent to the immediate past president. See the list of Executive Board Officers to find the name of the current past president. Recipients are selected by the former Presidents of MLA.
